It’s
been a nice ample break right? But I am back, yah am back to do you know what… First
on my list, regardless of the all that is happening, I feel let me start with this
piece of news that was aired last night. It left me with so many questions.
It was about a bridge.” For those who did not watch it was a story on the
plight of a certain village that has lost people to wrecked bridge, the sight
of the bridge will leave astounded. The bridge is a wreckage, a collection of
4-5 feeble planks, (actually they are 3) laid across the soiled river. Here is

I
have this crazy interest on bridges and this got my attention; a whole village is suffering
because of a makeshift bridge as they await the government to come and help, my
goodness!! its a pity. What i cant fathom and help me out here is, do you want
to tell me that the whole village can lack a few men to repair the bridge or
must they wait for the construction to be done by the government. How much can
it cost??
Am
no engineer but according to me all they require is a few well cut strong plank,
a few nails, jembes n pangas and labor which can be outsourced from the village. I mean, 5-10 men can do that job within a few hours. Having to
wait for the government, its really a pity.
Anyway
I don’t blame the villagers as much, this disease of #SERIKALI_SAIDIA is widespread in
our country and we need to examine ourselves and curb it. As a country, as a patriotic Citizen(notice i called you patriotic) we need to change this attitude; that all our problems have to be sorted
out by the government, I DIFFER. I call upon all Kenyans to rise up and take
responsibility, do what you can where you are TUACHE #SerikaliSaidia.
